Unserialised high-end stock
Premium products were not serialised, which blocked inventory tracking at bin level.
A footwear aggregator that embraced eCommerce earlier than almost anyone in its category, in a market that is unorganised, crowded and slow to adopt technology. Its warehouses were where the losses were.
video_yt and the frame follows the asset's own shape.Viraj Enterprises is a footwear aggregator and an offshoot of the ITL Group, led by Kaushal Jajodia, working with a posse of flagship footwear brands that includes Sparx, Crocs and Action. What sets it apart is that it embraced the eCommerce revolution completely, in a footwear market that is traditionally unorganised, crowded with sellers of every size, and slow to adopt technology. Its mission was to sell faster and more profitably while delighting customers with accurate, timely fulfilment. The warehouses were the gap between the mission and the result.
Low technology adoption and a shortage of people competent to run the infrastructure led to four warehouse problems.
Premium products were not serialised, which blocked inventory tracking at bin level.
SLA breaches arose from the inability to match and verify physical counts against the system.
Growing dependence on manual intervention in the warehouses raised picking errors in step.
Data mismatches between gross merchandise value and average order volume meant nobody trusted the numbers.
Viraj set up the right infrastructure and technology to improve speed, efficiency and accuracy, and to recruit and train people who would stay. EasyEcom ticked the boxes: value-based pricing, minimum disruption, a seamless transition with end-to-end hand-holding, and consistent service. Multiple warehouses were fully automated. This is the loop.
Orders from the marketplaces arrive against an inventory where every unit has an identity, so what is promised is what is on the shelf.
What Viraj Enterprises recorded within the first months of deploying EasyEcom across its warehouses.
Viraj Enterprises came onboard EasyEcom in the endeavor to reduce SLA breaches and improve warehouse operational efficiency. In a mere 30-45 days, these goals have been reached, with improvements in bin-level accuracy, timely label generation and dispatch and manpower utilization. Inwarding processes that previously required 6 warehouse members have been reduced by 30% without compromising on cycle count accuracy. Our mission to serve the nation as a leading footwear aggregator has become possible largely thanks to the intuitivity, robustness and scalability of the EasyEcom platform!
