No bin-level visibility
Replenishment was delayed and listings went stale because inventory could not be seen at bin level.
An indigenous intelligent-apparel company that weaves technology into the fabric, manufactures in-house, and had eCommerce automation already. The systems just did not sync to the mark, and the last mile kept breaching.
video_yt and the frame follows the asset's own shape.URTurms is an indigenous intelligent-apparel company that weaves technology into its product range: fabrics that keep the wearer sweat-free and cool, across tees, trousers, shorts, nightwear, thirty-day no-wash jeans and seven-day no-smell socks. Surender Singh, now CEO, was a customer in 2018 who saw the potential, acquired the company in 2022 and left corporate life to run it. The brand featured on Shark Tank India Season 3, took offers from three Sharks and closed a deal with the founder of Inshorts. It manufactures in-house and fulfils through Emiza.
As a digital-first brand, URTurms was no stranger to eCommerce automation, but the processes and systems in place did not sync up to the expected mark. Six problems followed, grouped here into four.
Replenishment was delayed and listings went stale because inventory could not be seen at bin level.
Missing date parameters meant returned items that had passed QC never made it back into sellable stock, and the sales went with them.
Manpower shortages slowed picking, sorting and packing, and with no SKU-level performance data the inventory was used suboptimally.
Delayed, error-prone last-mile processes breached shipping SLAs, and high returns came with disputes over extra and incorrect marketplace deductions.
After an on-premise assessment of existing workflows, URTurms came onto EasyEcom for more control over order and warehouse management: orders identified at channel level, inventory adjusted for confirmation, returns and listing updates. This is the loop.
Every marketplace order is visible at order level, so the team can see which channel it came from and what stock it needs, before anything moves.
What URTurms recorded after the upgrade, with SKU performance reports now showing item popularity by season and reason.
Order processing time is faster thanks to the marketplace-level visibility, letting us track, monitor and preempt SLA breaches. The best part of being an EasyEcom system user is undoubtedly their round-the-clock support which has resolved minor issues before they blew out of proportion. We can stay dynamic and respond to demand thanks to the dashboard reports on Inventory, order, sales and returns!
