Bundles with invisible parts
The individual components of bundled and combo orders could not be identified at picking, which produced SLA breaches on the orders that mattered most.
A brand that sells most of its products as bundles, with a picklist that showed the bundle but not the parts. Every combo order was a chance to breach an SLA. The one feature MyMuse wanted was physical combo kitting.
video_yt and the frame follows the asset's own shape.MyMuse is India’s first bedroom essentials brand, founded in 2020 by Anushka and Sahil Gupta to break the silence around sexual wellness and intimacy. Its topline products launched during lockdown and were welcomed for saying out loud what is still widely treated as unsayable. The website takes the lion’s share of orders, followed by Amazon and Nykaa, and much of the range sells in bundles. That last detail is the whole operational story.
MyMuse had tied up with several channel partners for inventory and order processing, and still could not get a picklist with the detail needed to fulfil accurately. Four problems followed.
The individual components of bundled and combo orders could not be identified at picking, which produced SLA breaches on the orders that mattered most.
Updates from the fulfilment partner gave partial information on SKU and quantity, with no location identification for picking.
Daily orders were processed by hand, which worked only while volume stayed small, and volume was not staying small.
There was no system with absolute visibility over what came in and what went out.
MyMuse was sold on automated eCommerce the moment it was clear that manual processes would slow it down. With physical combo kitting in place, the operations team receives picklists with complete order information. This is the loop.
Website, Amazon and Nykaa orders, B2B and B2C, arrive in one queue. A bundle is an order like any other, and the system knows what is inside it.
What MyMuse recorded from December to May on EasyEcom.
EasyEcom is very user-friendly and easy to understand. The speed and accuracy with which orders get processed are the factors driving MyMuse’s efforts to upscale and experience phenomenal growth. We can sync inwarding and outwarding to control the momentum and fulfill our customer’s expectations. I am confident that our plans to scale 10x will be realized as we gain mastery over the tool. I can truthfully tell you we won’t be going back to our previous way of managing and processing orders!
