The same unit sold twice
An order would come in on the brand store for a unit that had already gone on Amazon. Stockouts of this kind multiplied during peak demand periods.
A beauty brand growing fast on Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra and its own Shopify store, and selling the same unit twice because no system knew it was already gone. Here is what changed.

It built its name on natural, chemical-free formulations at affordable prices, combining traditional Indian Ayurveda with western herbal science, and a customer-first strategy that turned early Amazon traction into a global business. Being everywhere at once is the growth story. It is also, without one inventory underneath it, the operational problem.
WOW sold through its Shopify store and six marketplaces, with offline orders on top. Keeping inventory straight across all of them was a manual, tedious job, and it broke exactly when it mattered most: at peak.

There was no live integration between the Shopify storefront and a central inventory, so the store was always working from a stale number.
Manual inventory updates across channels were laborious and slow, and a slow update is the same thing as a wrong one.
The previous inventory tool integrated warehouses with storefronts but had no tooling for profitability or daily operations, and its pricing was steep enough to threaten minimum profitability.
After a disappointing run with the earlier platform, WOW moved to EasyEcom and the two teams optimised the day-to-day one piece at a time: warehouses first, then channels, then carriers, then the customer.
Shopify, Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Snapdeal, Paytm, eBay or a store: the order arrives in one queue regardless of where it was placed.
WOW ran its multi-channel sales on EasyEcom from mid-2017. Business volume grew consistently across channels, and the founders looked to bring other brands onto the same platform.
Because of the scalable solution provided by EasyEcom, WOW team has easily handled the day to day operations even at manifold business that we are doing now. We are looking to adopt the EasyEcom platform for other brands as well
