Order-by-order verification
The finance team waited on reports from sales, then checked each transaction individually against what the marketplace had actually paid.
A lifestyle brand selling on every major marketplace, and a finance team verifying each payout by hand in a spreadsheet. Then their warehousing partner made a recommendation.

It ships from warehouses in Delhi and Mumbai, chaired by Ashok Sawhney with the menswear line run by his son Anuj. The front of the business was growing quickly. The finance function behind it was still doing its arithmetic by hand.
When Swiss Military went online in 2015, invoicing, reconciliation and adjustments were all manual. The omnichannel platform in use had no serious reconciliation feature, so the finance team was left to check marketplace payouts one order at a time.
The finance team waited on reports from sales, then checked each transaction individually against what the marketplace had actually paid.
Marketplace deductions, shipping and carrier bills and customer payments were cross-checked in spreadsheets, by people, every single cycle.
Manual entry risked recording the wrong figure, and the team knew transactions were slipping through the cracks without anyone noticing.
The previous solution offered nothing sturdy for payments reconciliation, so the only way to close the gap was more hours.
Swiss Military moved to EasyEcom in 2018 on the recommendation of its warehousing partner, specifically for return and payment reconciliation that works across marketplaces. The result is a closed loop: the marketplaces pay, EasyEcom matches, Tally records.
Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Fynd or Magicpin pays out and the amount lands in the company bank account, exactly as it always did. Nothing about the marketplaces had to change.
The outcomes Swiss Military's finance and eCommerce teams recorded after moving reconciliation and order management onto EasyEcom.
I give it a 4 out of 5. The invoice and credit note sync works perfectly well. I no longer have to scan paperwork and get onto calls with different middlemen to verify marketplace deductions, overcharges and tracing the payment source and mode of cash infusions. Besides being reachable anytime I need them, EasyEcom's support team has been extremely hands-on in resolving any issues we've had in payment verifications.
